"There is no greater illusion than fear, no greater wrong than preparing to defend yourself, no greater misfortune than having an enemy. Whoever can see through all fear will always be safe." The immortal words of Lao-tzu, who wrote the Tao Te Ching, which means the book of the way, perfectly captures our need for change. No one is really sure when he was born, but he is said to be older than Confucius, who was born in 551 B.C. We have lost the idea of things being accomplished without fearing them. Global warming is a prime example. The greening of the world is a noble endeavor, something that requires love not fear, to incorporate. The red flag is flying around the world, our climate is changing, but what we are not noticing is that we are changing. Our collective thoughts are changing, and the matter we create through our thoughts is shaping our world. At any given moment we can change our thoughts and change what we experience in our world, including how we perceive the effect of global warming on our lives. If I fear it, that is what I will manifest, and all the negativity that is attached to it. If I love it, I will bring all that is manifested with Love. My choice, how I want to feel about this issue, will be my reality. Which thought feels better? Our history has painted a picture of defending ourselves, fighting ourselves, and killing the enemy, which is also our self. In order to embrace something we must first be at war with it, because we fear it. We think it's something outside of our control and we must conquer it, to acquire it. As Lao-tzu says just by seeing through the fear we are safe. It's time history stopped repeating itself. There are many things we can do on a personal level, as well as a collective group to embrace global warming and deal with it, not only on the green level, but on a turquoise level as well. By integrating thoughts of love and prayer, the sense of seeing things the way we want them to exist is a powerful weapon. If we use our consciousness, not just focus consciousness, but our intuitive knowledge, we can manifest a change. We can demonstrate that we are evolving into that grander version of our self. The contrast of global warming is the catalyst for our change in awareness and connection. As Rumi said: "You are the secret of God's secret. You are the mirror of divine beauty. Everything in the universe is within you. Ask all from your self. The one whom you are looking is also you."
