Should Article Authors who Pay Ghostwriters be Able to Claim the Articles as their Own?

By: Lance Winslow

There seems to be some debate in the online article marketing Internet sub-sector and the debate stems around the fact that many article marketers are paying ghostwriters to write their articles for them rather than writing the articles themselves. Of course there is no law against paying someone to write articles for you. However, my contention is that if you pay someone to write an article for you and then you take credit for writing it, then you are indeed acting in a fraudulent manner.

The online article marketers who do this do not have an integrity issue with it and apparently are un-phased that this is considered by many including me to be a fraudulent practice. One very influential and top notched copywriter believes that if they simply put line at the bottom along with the article marketing standard byline to the effect that this article contributed by; So-in-so; then that solves the problem.

Sure that would solve the problem and yet have you ever once seen an article author come clean and write something like that? I agree that would solve this issue, but those who cheat would most likely never do that. Their integrity level is so low, that would be a shot in the dark. So, this is in an interesting conversation, what say you? Oh you ask why I care? Well it so happens I have personally written 9,040 online articles and those who cheat just seem to get on my nerves a little really.
