Should We Wait Until Everything Is Right to Launch into the Future?

By: Lance Winslow

In the future many futurists like myself believe that Ray Kurzweil’s theory of the coming Paradigm Shift is indeed inevitable and this will include a hyper advancement of the human race. Things such as life extension, which would allow humans to press on and fix the things which plague mankind without allowing our offspring to fail miserably and be doomed because they forgot our history.

Other technologies such as nano-materials will allow better efficiencies and toughness in structures, equipment, buildings, transportation and just about anything you can think of. Meaning better durability, economy and safety too. In fact there are so many new technologies all coming together right now that we may complete what would have taken 5000 years in less than 50.

Now then with all this technology on the horizon does it make sense to do anything in the here and now or simply wait for the paradigm shift to come to us? Well, if we wait until everything is perfect to complete the destiny and the forward progression of the human race then in fact that day will never come and that would be truly unfortunate indeed.

It is time to unite the human race in a common cause and if you wait until everything is perfect before you try, you will end up missing a golden opportunity to fix things in the present period and that would be a travesty for those who live in the present to simply sit on our butts and do nothing but watch the grass grow. Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today and never get stuck in linear thought on what that tomorrow may offer you in the future. Be prepared for opportunity and seize the day.
