Sitting and typing thousands of online articles is no easy feat, it is hard work. In fact my first four-thousand articles were all by typing. Then I tried out the voice software. My voice inflection is so animated that sometimes the voice software made too many mistakes. I had IBM Voice Type from doing my Company's Manuals about 10-years ago and never really worked quite right for me. Today however it is much better. At 4,000 articles I bought the Dragon Voice Software and it worked a lot better. Then this latest version is pretty killer, interesting however, because now we are in the "Year of the Pig" and the Dragon Year is long gone. I had studied up on the latest version of the best voice software companies and read SpeechTek Magazine where I read a very nice white paper on Nuance Corp. I have been studying the uses of speech technologies for companies, eGovernment Initiatives, eLearning, VR Simulation and AI Robotic Assistants of the future. It seems that there is a huge push for DHS, Military, Business, Space, Government, Education and Collaborative Networks Online, regardless of what language anyone is speaking. Speech Software is the wave of the future. Do I recommend using speech software to create online articles? Well, I find that a combination works for me.First I make titles of things I am thinking about or while reading. What I do is that I leave about 40 Microsoft Word files open on top of each other cascaded and while I am reading a research paper for the Online Think Tank or a book, right now reading; "Agroecology - The Science of Sustainable Agriculture" this is when invariably a thought comes to mind so, I make that thought my title and then write 4-5 sentences about that thought (typing it) and then hit save and keep reading.By the end of a good book, research paper I might have considered 4-5 new original thoughts. So, when I am in production mode, I open 10 of the word files at a time. Then I turn on the Dragon Speak and going from my prompts and the title, I give a little speech into the computer. Actually the faster I talk and the more fluid the better it works. If I just watch it while it types what I say, it does not do as well. I can finish 10-articles this way in about 20 minutes. Then I take a break and edit (editing takes about 10 minutes each) and post them. If I write the articles simply from typing it takes a lot longer to write them, but editing is easy, sometimes only takes a 2-3 minutes. The other day I did 20 articles in 3-hours by typing and 12 articles using Dragon. So that is typical for me, I guess. The funny thing is that my articles that I do using the speaking software sound friendlier and different than how I normally write on easy subjects and mellow stuff, like how to use make a food dish; for me this is merely relaxing from heavy research or intensive writing. The more hard-core the subject gets the more intensive the speech patterns. Sometimes I am the Dragon, sometimes the Dragon Slayer?I think Dragon Speak (Dragon Naturally Speaking) is a viable tool for the online article writer. Of course it takes a little getting use too and a little extra editing. But it is amazing what you can do with it. I recommend it. Sometimes, I write so many articles that other online article writers accuse me of being on pick-me-up drugs. I assure you that I would never take drugs, I am a hard-core athletic type from way back, eat right and will not even take an Aspirin now, that's funny.Be careful if using voice activated software, someone might accuse you of writing too many articles or being high? I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
