Squeeze Page BasicsIf you are list building, one of the most critical things for you is to use a squeeze page. A squeeze page is simply a web page that has as its only purpose the opting in of visitors, and converting them to subscribers. If you already have a web site and are making sales online, you will have to make a decision. You can either transform your main page to a squeeze page, and increase the number or opt ins dramatically, allowing them to see your sales page only after they have opted in, or you can add an opt in box to your existing web page. Depending on where you place this opt-in box, and how exciting you make opting in sound, you may get 10 or 20% of your web site visitors to opt in. If you already have a thriving web business, and you are building a list to improve your bottom line and repeat business, then this might be the way to go. Generally, the higher you place the opt in box on the web page, the more opt ins you should receive. And the more you give away to the opt in, the more optins you should get. However, what I prefer, is to send all my visitors to a squeeze page that only and specifically asks the visitor to opt-in to my list before they can get to any of my other web pages. The upfront disadvantage to this is that only 50-80% of the people that come to my squeeze page will actually click through, so in theory I lose a few sales from people who would have bought if they had gone directly to my site. But I feel that the bulk of the people who do not opt in wouldn’t buy from me anyway, so no harm done.Squeeze pages can increase your opt in rates by as much as 500% - why not give one a try now?
