The first little tell tale sign that he is probably not marriage material, is if he has kids but does not pay child support or even visit them. This would surely be a sign that he is very irresponsible and does not like responsibility. Furthermore if he has say two children with different women, then he surely is not the marrying kind, why would he have children with different women, and not want to marry either one of them. He must have been in a relationship in order to have these children.

This might sound materialistic but you should definitely be worried if he does not have a car, everybody is able to afford at least one car, so they can get around easily. If he doesnt have a car in this modern day and age then he really does not seem to care about responsibility, or how he projects himself to people in general. A car is very important especially to a man unless he is filthy rich and takes a taxi everywhere. This is a sure sign that he will probably not be able to help you with the basic financial expenses that you will need for a normal everyday living.

When you first met him, did he have a steady job, was he able to take you out to dinner on those first impressive dates and pay the check without asking you to lend him the money. If he did ask you to lend him the money to pay for dinner, then you should not be going out with him right now, you should have realized from the start that he is just a cheap, lazy guy who probably likes women to support him financially and is most likely unable to hold down a steady job.

Is he over thirty and still living with his parents, well this is a sure sign that he does not want to grow up and take responsibility for himself, much less for a wife and kids. He will not be able to manage the responsibilities of running a house of his own and certainly not be able to care for a wife and family. Is he the type of person who does not appreciate the expensive gifts that you give him, does he just throw them any old place and not appreciate the value of them. Then he is certainly a person who does not care about financial stuff and he would not be able to understand the value of it. Stay very far away from a guy like this and do not even consider marriage, because it will be a very big mistake.
