Our ghost team was contacted by a couple who claimed to be suffering from a poltergeist in their own home. Their home had been showing signs of a haunting as soon as they had moved in. Various items had gone missing in the house, noises had been heard at night and doors had been slamming shut by themselves. One thing that had interested the team was what had appeared to be ectoplasm appearing in the skirting boards. The team first researched the houses' history, however, because this was a relatively new residential property, not much could be found. We did manage to speak to the previous property owners, and they claimed that none of the paranormal activity had occurred while they had been living there. The fact that they had moved out again only a year after they first moved in, suggested they knew more than they were letting on. Our first opinion of the house was of calm and serene, no strange atmosphere whatsoever. We started by investigating some of the rooms of the house, but we found nothing out of the ordinary. The spare bedroom showed was slightly colder than the rest of the house, which was unusual but not unheard of in some of the other locations we had investigated. We brought Annabel in to do a reading of the property, this was when we heard a bump coming from one of the rooms upstairs. We quickly ran up and found that one of the children's toys had fallen from a shelf. At this point, Annabel was able to pick up on the spirit. Calling out we were surprised to hear what appeared to be a slight scratching coming from the skirting board. As soon as the team heard it, it disappeared. Further call outs gained no new activity, so we allowed Annabel to proceed with her contact. She claimed that she could sense the energy of a man, in his thirties and around five feet tall. He was in the room with us, but was not a malicious spirit. She also sensed that he was autistic, and that he had suffered this throughout his life. He had accidentally died when he fell out of the bedroom window. The same room that we were in now. His mentality was of somebody much younger than his actual age, and had found enjoyment from playing with the children now living at the house. I asked Annabel if she could get the ghost to visit us later as I wanted to focus our attention on the children's playroom. Annabel claimed the spirit of the man had agreed to stay with us. Excitedly we began to set up our equipment in this bedroom and waited for the spirit to present himself to us. For a couple of hours we witnessed no paranormal activity, although we did hear a few bumps and clicking noises. Things had quietened down, until one of the team members said that she felt as though she had been touched on the hip. To be continued.
