The island is famous for its unique and beautiful sites which can be truly called masterpieces of nature. The romantic land provides a huge number of views for writers, painters, musicians and artists. The Prince Edward Island offers many peaceful settings and scenes. There are many small harbors and plenty of opportunities to partake in the famous lobster suppers which offer lobsters broiled, barbecued, baked or boiled. These suppers live up to their reputation. Purple lupins are another pleasure as they are plentiful in this island. Cavendish offers some typical tourist attractions with rides and restaurants as a means to draw the Green Gables visitors.

Also there is one of the island most popular beaches. Cavendish beach features a wide expanse of sand, huge sand dunes and rocky cliffs. Victoria is a picturesque fishing village where many artists can be found along with their studios and galleries. A Victorian Lighthouse there is now the museum with one room and the wharf is lined with quaint shops and tempting restaurants.

Summerside is the second largest city in the Prince Edward Island province. It is the home to the College of Piping and Celtic performing Arts which makes for some fine entertainment. There is also a mid-summer Lobster carnival there as well. For those who prefer the ferry as a means to visit or depart this wonderful island the Northumberland ferries between Wood islands in Prince Edward Island province and Caribou in Nova Scotia province still chug across Northumberland Strait.

There is a National park which stretches forty kilometers along the ocean coast and offers a huge number of beaches and incredible views.
