There are two ways to build traffic using articles, and they each use radically different approaches.Although you can use both approaches, the measurement techniques for each are different, and you must be careful that you are measuring the actual results from each of the methods you are using, rather than receiving conflicting information from the other technique.Let me explain. One way that you can drive traffic with articles is by writing articles and sending them out to multiple directories so that the directories will publish them and when they publish them, your link will begin to count with Yahoo and Google for natural search engine results. But what is the best way to do it? Write 10 articles and submit each of them to each of the same 10 article directories, or to write 1 article and submit it to 100 different directories? How about write one article and submit it to 500 directories? If you want massive search engine results, that is how to do it. And vary the text link in the articles so that the search engines don’t think you are spamming. Why write 10 when 1 will do? All you are interested in is the backlink from the directory. On the other hand, if you want to get direct hits from readers, then you need to write as many articles as possible and submit them to high-traffic directories. This will not much affect your natural search engine rankings, but it will impact the number of people who click on your link after reading the articles in the article directories.Want to do both? Write 11 articles. Submit 1 to each of 100 or 500 article directories, and submit the other 10 to each of the top 5 biggest article directories.
