It’s so easy to look at the material things of this world, what other people possess, and relate that to true success. You may even do this in your own life. You may think that if you maintain a certain lifestyle, house, car, family, or position that you have reached true success. However, I don’t believe that true success can be measured by the material things we possess.Don’t get me wrong, having all of those things is great and I hope that you will have all of them in your life. However, there is more to true success than having these things. I believe true success comes when you continually aim to be your personal best. You see, you may have reached a certain level of success in your life last year but if you haven’t progressed to another level of success this year, then you really haven’t been very successful. If you continually stretch yourself to get better then you will be closer to fulfilling your potential in life. I guess the question to ask is this, who is more successful in life, the person who acquires all the material possessions he could ever want but only fulfills 25% of his potential, or someone who may not have all the material things the first person had but fulfills 90% of his potential? So how do you be the best that you can be?Always strive to fulfill your potential and greatness in life. This doesn’t mean that you become someone that is consumed with being better than everyone else. It just means that you want to live your life in such a way so that when it’s over, you can look back and know that you did everything you could to fulfill your potential and greatness.
