Turn Bacteria in the Sea into Energy for You and Me!

By: Lance Winslow

We have needs in our nation to increase our fresh water supplies and we must shore up the supply and demand gap. We also have Alternative Energy Issues and Initiatives to see thru, which also make sense. What if we desalinate sea water and use the bacteria to make energy to run power up the system and the left over co-generation from this scheme to sell back to the Power Grid. How so you ask?

Well consider if you will that there is lots of Bacteria in Sea Water;

But as you might have read no one wants a smelly desalination plant in their back yard or the left over salt mountains piled up. So we will have to take this seawater inland. But how do you get it over the mountains in California to where the cheap land is and where no one but the Spotted Owl or Desert Turtle will complain?

Well there are a few researchers who seem to have this figured out and in fact I have a cool drawing of how to allow for hydro-electric water flows out of a dam and use an "S-Curve" suction device to allow the water back up the hill thru siphoning and back into the lake to re-use and we could use this same set of concepts to bring water over the mountain and on the way down build hydro-electric plants and while in storage reservoirs waiting for the desalination process we could let the pool create energy from the bacteria to run the plant? Consider this in 2006.
