Operating a water heater in the absence of a tank is an interesting procedure. Hot water supply is endless in a tankless water heater. The energy efficiency of a tankless water heater may actually surprise you. Tankless heaters start heating only when the water valve opens. Since storage is done in the tank, the absence of a tank in the tankless version also means the absence of storage. Manufacturers have only fashioned this tankless heater model for heating of water before eventual use.
