What Are You Trying To Accomplish Online?

Many people would like to make money online. They start a website or blog about a certain subject and then hope to make money from it. If they stick with it for any length of time they soon realize a few things. Things that might not have been thought of when the project began such as:

1) Without traffic, none of it matters
2) Just being a member of Google Ad sense means nothing (refer to #1).
3) Being an affiliate of certain products and companies, while cool, means nothing. (refer to #1)
4) Making money online is no easy task.

If you have the intention of making money online, you should have figured out by now that there is nothing simple or easy about such a proposition, and if you haven't, you will by the end of this article. I simply want to tell the truth about making money online. I wish I had read an article telling the truth about making money online. It would have saved me a ton of time and money and my hope is that this article can do that for you.

The first thing for you to consider is what your trying to accomplish online. Are you trying to simply provide information? Are you trying to provide a product to the public? Are you trying to sell other companies products? Do you want to make money or do you just want a website that provides information? All of these questions need to be considered and the biggest thing for everyone to remember is that without traffic (that is people visiting your website) none of it matters.

About 99% of the things you read and that the so called "experts" tell you about the internet and online businesses BS designed to sell you something. It's designed to sell you an e-book, book, or service of some sort that will supposedly solve all your problems. These weasels are lying to you.

The biggest thing for you to remember is that your online venture needs to revolve around subject matter that you feel passionate about. It may be hiking, hunting, dogs, children, rivers, flying, trees, hamsters, or whatever, the bottom line is that you must be passionate about the subject matter. If you aren't passionate about it, you won't put in the necessary time and effort to make it successful. It's as simple as that. Making a website, blog, or anything else on this planet successful takes time and effort. There are lessons that you need to learn and you just wont learn them if you don't feel passionate about the subject.

Figure out what it is that you feel passionate about and go from there. Then define what it is that you want to accomplish online. Then begin the process of making it happen, while remembering that there aren't any simple and easy fixes to make it all work. Being successful online, just like in any aspect of you're life, is a process so enjoy the ride. And remember that if you can't generate traffic, none of it matters. In the inline world everything is about traffic.
