Though none of the teams have confirmed that they placed bids for Matsuzaka, it confirmed by a baseball official that the New York Yankees had placed a bid.Once Matsuzaka’s club accepts the highest bid offer, the Major League team will have 30 days to agree to a contract with Matsuzaka. The bid is paid only if the contract is agreed upon.
