Many people have built internet empires round teaching people how to get traffic. There are many ways in which you can persuade people to visit your website and you can spend a lot of money in doing so and an awful lot of time. Having spent all that money, time and effort on getting traffic to their website, what do most people do with their visitors once they get them? Nothing!They allow their visitors to have a look at their website, perhaps even purchase something if they are lucky, and then leave. How many of these visitors return? About one in a thousand. That’s about the calculate average, where there is enough data to calculate an average. Let’s just say, once gone from your site they rarely return. What if you want to thank them for their purchase? Unless you have good software that captures at least the name when an order is placed, your payment portal is not able by law to provide you with even the name of the buyer.That’s why you should build a list online. So that you can contact those that have visited your website. What if you have an update or upgrade to an item you have been trying to sell, but have failed to do so. You have found that the version you are selling has a few flaws or faults, and you either work on an upgrade, or your suppliers sends you one that resolves the fault.
