Good for you, working for yourself can be a very liberating feeling, especially when it's done from the comfort of your own home. There are some things that you need to keep in mind though. If you are going to have any level of success working from home, these six keys must be kept in mind. 1) The television is your enemy. Stay away from the television during "business hours". Nothing can gobble up time like the television, and when you work from your home, you must use your time wisely. 2) Think positive. Think about what you are going to accomplish, as if you already have. Nothing can bring on failure like getting down on yourself and falling into the "can I really do this?" syndrome. 3) Make progress everyday. Yes, I mean everyday. If you really want to make your own home business work, do something everyday to help your new venture. On Saturday it might be making just one phone call or writing one article, but you will be moving in the right direction. 4) Talk to lots of people everyday. I don't care what business you're in, you have to develop relationships with people. The more people you talk to the better your chances of someone saying "yes" to whatever it is that you do. 5) It doesn't happen overnight. Anyone who has ever started a business of any kind realizes that it doesn't become successful overnight. You must work at it. If it were easy, why wouldn't everyone do it? 6) Never give up. The one thing that we all have an equal amount of is time. Bill Gates has the same amount of time in a day as you and I. He simply uses his a little more wisely than us. The bottom line is that you can never give up.Keep these six keys in mind as you grow your new home business. And remember, you can do anything anyone else has ever done, and if it's your dream to work from home you can achieve it. Never forget what Lao Tzu said, "All difficult things have their origin in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small."
