How do you cope with the pressures and stresses of planning for a wedding? It is a hard balance sometimes.

Too much to do means that you can lose track of things and the whole day which is supposed to be joyous and momentous can become a burden. A good and memorable wedding is not the same as an expensive wedding. But how do you get the wedding that you want without compromising your ideals and standards? How can you organize everybody and everything and still remain sane and stress free? How can you show to the world that you are not only a worthy bride or groom but also a couple that are able to organize their special day which marks the first day of the rest of your married lives together?

The secret lies in how you plan and organize the process prior to the big day. If you share the responsibilities and burden with your partner, you will also spread out the stresses and strains of the organization process. Getting other people to help can sometimes be a hindrance but, if targeted correctly and organized properly, it can also be a great aid.

There are plenty of people that you can call on to help you with the wedding planning process. Do not be afraid to use them – they will usually be only to glad to help. People like to feel wanted and useful. This is not the same as being “used”. Your friends and relatives have a vested interest in helping your day to be special as the development of the day partly affects their enjoyment and partly reflects their own contribution to the celebrations.
