An Introduction To Innovation Innovation is a natural tendency of the human mind to thrive on variety, regardless of the activity involved. All the man-made changes that the world has witnessed are a result of this tendency to look for something different. The urge to try something else is a prominent human characteristic. When properly directed, this urge can have results that enhance the quality of an activity. A positive outcome of this urge to be different is called innovation. There is no end to the new ideas in the world, but when these ideas create value, it becomes innovation. Often enough, it is the application of existing knowledge in a different manner that stands out as an innovative idea. Usually, one idea gives birth to the next and new technologies, processes and methods come into being. Being innovative involves a lot of risks. Only a person who is willing to go out on limb is capable of being innovative. Good ideas are of no use unless they are implemented, and implementation in a new way always attracts criticism. It is only by being optimistic in the face of odds that an individual stands a chance of achieving something unique. Mobile Computing Innovations Mobile computing is the crossover between two technologies: fixed wireless applications and mobility applications. Advances in wireless networking technology have brought about a new genre of computing called mobile computing, in which users carry portable devices that have access to a shared infrastructure independent of their physical location. This provides continuous access to networked services and flexible communication between people located anywhere. Mobile computing is revolutionizing the way people are using computers. Mobile computing in its most general sense refers to the use of any computer that is not connected by physical wires to the server or host computer with which it needs to interact. The required interaction occurs through a wireless, real-time connection, a batch synchronization procedure, or a combination of both. With several innovative ideas in the software market, lots of resultant innovations are seen on the mobile computing front. The companies that have not innovated and have not evolved their platform are forced to take a backseat in the market. Companies focused on mobile computing platforms are turning old models on their head. So, in effect, there are more innovative solutions coming out than ever before. Innovation will continue to spur change across all classes of devices. Wine Cellar Innovations The basic purpose of a wine cellar is to effectively control the aging process of wine. Once bottled, wine starts to mature, so proper storage is essential for it to mature in the right manner. The advantage of having a wine cellar is that you don't have to go out and get a bottle of wine every time you are ready to sit down and eat, or want to enjoy a glass. Having your own cellar enables you to plan and store wines for special occasions, even the odd unforeseen ones.
