What Is Word? Words How many of them do we use each day, hour, minute? Certainly, a lot. But what is a word? Well, it's the simplest unit of speech that enables us to communicate. However, word is more than that. It's our inner feeling that we want to express so that other people see and feel it. What Do Media Do For Us Most people would be surprised to discover that the idea of a global village has been in existence since the 1960s, when computers were the size of rooms and took all day to make calculations they can now do in an instant. Linguistic Communication And Its Two Models Linguistic communication consists of two models which are completely different. The code-model is a classic one. The other is inferential. Those differences in communication style and way we express our feelings and emotions depend on several aspects. Where we are from, our background and brought up can tell a lot about who we really are. Age is also a very important aspect for it reflects our level of certain knowledge. Our style, however, very much depends not only on above characteristics, but also on our gender. Women and men speak differently, and those differences are allied with their gender. Communications Evolution Communications are the vital part of modern technologies development because people apply communication tools daily.
